Acceptance of Terms

Jobs and Skills Australia (we, our, us) makes this website service, the Data API Portal, available to you on the terms set out here.

By registering for and using the Data API Portal, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Accuracy of materials on the Data API Portal

We monitor the quality of information available on the Data API Portal and make updates regularly, however we do not make any representation or warranty about the accuracy, reliability, currency or completeness of any material contained on the Data API Portal or on any linked site.

While we make every effort to ensure that content on the Data API Portal is accurate and up to date, you should exercise your own independent skill and judgement before you rely on it.

Changes to the Data API Portal

We may, at any time and without notice to you:

  • a) discontinue or modify any aspect of the Data API Portal (including its functionality);
  • b) modify any underlying datasets associated with the Data API Portal or any APIs; and
  • c) remove any API from the Data API Portal.

You agree to use the Data API Portal only for lawful purposes.

We authorise you, on a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable basis, to access and use the Data API Portal in accordance with these terms.

We may, at any time, for any reason:

  • a) refuse to register you;
  • b) suspend your account;
  • c) cancel or delete your account;
  • d) terminate these terms; or
  • e) limit your access to the Data API Portal - including by suspending, terminating or restricting your access to any APIs available on the Data API Portal.

Privacy

In order to register for and use the Data API Portal and its available APIs, you may be required to provide certain information (such as your contact details).

You agree to use any materials on the Data API Portal in accordance with our copyright policy available at https://www.jobsandskills.gov.au/copyright-and-disclaimer.

API Key

Your API key is a very important piece of information. It is your responsibility to keep them secure.

You agree to:

  • a) take reasonable care when accessing the Data API Portal to ensure that your API key is not disclosed to any other person; and
  • b) take every reasonable precaution to prevent the spread or diffusion of any software contamination including computer viruses.

MyGovID

You may need MyGovID for accessing the Data API Portal. The login details of MyGovID are very important and it is your responsibility to keep them secure.

You agree to:

  • a) your MyGovID information is controlled by you and protected by the Australian Government – as per security advice from MyGovID, don’t share your myGovID with others;
  • b) take reasonable care when accessing the Data API Portal to ensure that your MyGovID are not disclosed to any other person; and
  • c) take every reasonable precaution to prevent the spread or diffusion of any software contamination including computer viruses.

Information use governed by data sharing agreements

Use of information from the Data API Portal and its applicable APIs may be governed by terms and conditions stipulated by data sharing agreements agreed between you or your organisation and us. You need to be aware of and agree to these conditions before you use such information on the Data API Portal.

Applicable Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws in force in the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. You irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Australian Capital Territory.
